How to book your wedding at a Beachcomber hotel
Congratulations on your forthcoming marriage! If you are considering a destination wedding in Mauritius or Seychelles, you have come to the right place.
With eight luxury hotels in Mauritius and one in the Seychelles, Beachcomber Hotels will prove the perfect compliment to your big day.

Document requirements for Mauritius
To celebrate a wedding in Mauritius, the following documents are required by the Civil Status Office:
3 copies of the first three pages of the passports
3 copies of the birth certificates
3 copies of the divorce certificate or certificate of death of spouse when applicable
An application form (supplied by the tour operator) duly filled in and signed by the future groom and bride French citizens must also provide a "Certificat de Capacité de Mariage"
Conditions
All wedding documents must be translated into English or French.
All translations must be certified by the authorized translator
A divorced bride-to-be, getting married within 10 months of her divorce must take a pregnancy test (at her own expense).
Should the test be positive, the civil marriage cannot be celebrated in Mauritius
All documents should be sent to the hotel at least one month prior to the wedding date
Procedures in Mauritius
At latest three days before the wedding, the future bride and groom have to go to the Registrar General Civil* Status Office in Port-Louis
All original documents and affidavit will be checked by an attorney at law
The future bride and groom should then proceed to the Supreme Court* to swear their affidavit
*The Supreme Court and Civil Status Office do not open on week-ends and public holidays

Document requirements for Seychelles
To celebrate a wedding in Seychelles, the following documents are required by the Civil Status Office:
3 copies of the first three pages of the passports
3 copies of the birth certificates
3 copies of the divorce certificate or certificate of death of spouse when applicable
Conditions
All wedding documents must be translated in English or French.
All translations must be certified by the authorized translator
All documents should be sent to the hotel at least one month prior to the wedding date
Once the wedding has taken place, an apostil must be added to the wedding certificate in the country of residence or in the required Embassy in the Seychelles (Mahé). Citizens from the UK do not have to register their wedding certificate
11 days prior to the wedding, announcements should be published at the Civil Status Office in Mahé (the hotel will make all the arrangements)
If the 11-day deadline cannot be met, a special license can be issued 2 days before the wedding at an extra cost of € 15

For a tailor-made wedding, select "A la Carte" items to discuss with the hotel’s wedding coordinator upon arrival at your Beachcomber resort
Compile and finalise your guests’ list
If you are having a formal dinner, finalise seating arrangements
Choose your wedding rings
If buying a dress, choose your wedding gown and look into alteration specialists if needed
If making a dress, appoint your dressmaker
Appoint your bridesmaids, groomsmen and ushers
Choose bridesmaids and groomsmen outfits
Start getting in shape to look great on your big day (diet, nails, hair, skin care)
Order invitations and “thank you” cards
Three months before
Gather all the documents required for your wedding in Mauritius and Seychelles and send copies to your Tour Operator or directly to the hotel
Order wedding rings (allow enough time for engraving)
Mail invitations to guests (allow for nine to eight weeks for a destination wedding)
Buy all your wedding accessories (shoes, lingerie, jewellery)
Buy gifts for your spouse and bridal party
Final fittings for bridal gown and bridesmaids dresses
One week before
Before you fly to Mauritius, make sure you collect your dress and accessories as well as the groom's suit
Don't forget to bring the original documents required for your wedding
Remind bridesmaids and groomsmen to collect their outfits
Once you fly to Mauritius, organise your meeting with the hotel's wedding coordinator
Pick your wedding venue from different settings proposed at the hotel
Go through all wedding details with your wedding coordinator
With the help of your wedding coordinator, create a programme for the day and run through it
The hotel will set a week day for your administrative procedures in Port-Louis
Book/confirm all items with your coordinator
