We've just returned from the holiday of a lifetime at the Shandrani hotel in Mauritius. The setting was magnificent and the hospitality really was excellent. Our wedding was truly wonderful. We weren't sure what to expect before we arrived and had a few reservations. However, our wedding coordinator (Sandrine) was fantastic and the quality of the service we received totally exceeded our expectations. We took advantage of the facilities and activities whilst we were there. The spa is the most tranquil place I've ever known! We also enjoyed trips on the glass-bottomed boats, snorkeling, water-skiing and an exhilarating trip on the hotel speed boat. The weather was beautiful. There were a few short showers during the 2 weeks that we were there, but if anything it was quite pleasant! A thoroughly good time was had by all and I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone!

Sandrine, the wedding coordinator was fabulous organizing our day, very professional and cared about making everything as special as possible. On our wedding day we got up had a leisurely breakfast, spent two hours on the beach, had lunch, I got pampered at the spa having nails, hair, make-up done, got ready, was collected and taken to the wild beach (stunning!) for the ceremony. It was just such a beautiful ceremony, and we had a few spectators which I wasn't keen on originally, however everyone was so kind and really pleased for us, congratulating us and being respectful and giving us some distance. After the wedding we returned to our room and had more champagne and wedding cake before having a candlelight meal in one of the restaurants. It was beautiful and we were made to feel so special by staff and other guests. We were even sung to at our table by some musicians as a surprise, and it was so lovely.

Everything was superb and beyond our expectations. We and our 30 guests had a lovely time at Le Victoria and wouldn't want it any different. Thanks to Varsha our Wedding coordinator who was always on standby.Video package could have been longer i.e including the ceremony at La Casa restaurant, speeches, first dance. Food was excellent and service of a very high standard. Thanks again!!

Dear Manager I have great pleasure writting this letter as I had one of the best holidays ever. I should really say that I had the best wedding ever. I had to people from your hotel which went out of their way to make sure I was completely satisfied with all the details of the wedding. I had the help of Guylaine and Sanjav. Guylaine make ever moment of the day special for me. She took away the stress and made sure I was relax every step of the way. Guylaine was very organised and even though she had never met me personally she knew what type of questions I would have. She was very helpful and patient when we had to make decisions about flowers and the ceremony. Guylaine really took the time to explain what procedures would take place on the day we had to Port Loiuse to sign papers. She even said she was keeping on eye on us to make we dont get hurt or burnt before the wedding. I thought she was very special as she was always smiling and nothing was ever to much for her to do.Even after the wedding your hotel staff and Guylaine called me by my new name and makde sure all the details where changed to show i was now Mrs Kellaway. I felt really proud that Guylaine and the staff even remembered my new name. That was a special touch for me. Sanjav sat in on the meeting and explained the process of chosing the food and the wine for our guests. He was very helpful making us understand the better options as we had guests from other hotels coming over for the day.He recommend some really nice wine and even on the day of the wedding when my mom wanted to order champagne he made sure she got the quality. Sanjav was even helpful when my husband Jordan decided to get sun burnt 2 days before the wedding. Sanjav had recommended to put some yogurt on him to take out the sting. Guylaine even made our day more special when we were given the honeymoon suit for 2 nights. WOW what a beautiful room. I can not say thank you enough to Guylaine and the hotel staff for making our wedding the most memorable day we could have. I highly recommend your hotel and beautiful country to anyone. I will be returning in the next year or 2 to show my child the wonderful people and place we had spent our honeymoon at. I take great pleasure with saying that your hotel is excellent and beautiful. We had our wedding at Le Mauricia in May 2010. We travelled with family and friends and all I can is it was just amazing! From the minute we arrived from the moment we left, the service was fantastic, the staff really couldn't do enough for us and it was the best customer service I have experienced on holiday - ever. Our wedding co-ordinator Guylaine was so lovely. We didn't have any set ideas on how we wanted things to go but she showed us all our options and took care of everything. Thanks to her it was the most wonderful day - even better than I imagined and we couldn't have asked for more. I needn't have worried about my hair and makeup either (or spent a small fortune in Selfidges buying my own!!!), because they were fab also. After the ceremony we decided to have the beach barbeque (in the dark) which, although pricey, was the icing on the cake to our special day. We had waiter service a-la-carte style, but on the beach with the waves gently lapping on the sand behind us!! As a surprise we (me, my husband & our 3 girls) were upgraded to a private villa with it's own grounds and pool for 4 nights and at our request the hotel even kept our original rooms for us. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff there as long as we were happy. The weather in May was lovely and warm but it rained sometimes. This wasn't a problem for us.....we still got good tans, but if you like it very hot then you shouldn't go at this time of year. I can honestly say neither me or my husband don't want to holiday anywhere other than Mauritius now....we'd better get saving!!

Hello Guylaine Sorry for a late e mail my feet haven’t touched the floor since we got back last Thursday night. I wanted to send you a massive thank you for all you did for us on our special day on 7th May. We had a truly perfect day, it was everything we wanted and more!! You have a lovely calming effort on us and took away so many stresses and strains that you usually have on your wedding day. Can you thank Brando and the other staff (who names I cannot remember!) who helped us on our day moving tables, chairs, Alex for setting up music, the cooks for making the cake and the evening meal, the bar stuff for the wonderful cocktails, thank you to the lady who did my hair and make-up (I’m useless with names, I’m sorry) and the staff at the wellness centre for the best French manicure I have ever had (it was ultra relaxing!) and the florists for the beautiful flowers. Being a florist myself I was naturally nervous about my flowers but I really didn’t need to be... they were gorgeous more wonderful than I could of dreamt! Finally thank you for getting us into the honeymoon suite that morning for me to get ready it made some wonderful photos in our album from the photographer and also a huge thank you for the extra day in the honeymoon suite it made us feel so special. Overall I want to thank everyone at Le Mauricia, it made our day and our holiday so special even days later the staff were congratulating us and remembering who we were which made us feel famous!! We had such a great time we are considering a holiday back there next year for our anniversary. Thank you again. You made it all so special we cannot thank you enough.
